Intertex's woven textiles are designed for use in industrial applications where equipment and/or personnel require protection from sources of extreme heat or cold. For over 20 years, Intertex has provided customers with custom solutions to their high-temperature insulation applications.
Protective curtains, damage control blankets, sleeving, pipe wrapping, removable insulation covers & safety clothing are just a few of the end
uses where our fabrics are utilized. Our textiles come by the roll (usually 50 yards) or can be cut/sewn to meet our customer's specifications.
We pride ourselves on personalized customer service, on-time delivery, and industry expertise that ultimately benefits our priority: the customer!
All of our textile products come with a choice of finishes to suit the requirements of specific applications. These finishes include: heat
treated to add stability when cutting, silicone/teflon coatings to protect against moisture/oil/chemicals & add durability, aluminized for heat
reflection, neoprene coated for welding sparks & slag, vermiculite coating for added flame resistance, abrasion resistant finish for added durability, and wire inserted cloth for higher strength. Basic guidelines to help our customers determine what textiles are suitable for an application include: temperature requirement (short-duration & continuous exposures), durability and abrasion resistance (flexing or stationary, moisture & chemical/oil resistance (indoor/outdoor use). Some of our textiles are also manufactured to meet government specifications such as MIL-C-20079 and other customer specifications as required.
