Meta-aramid cover with fibreglass insert and Moda-crylic cover with fibreglass insert. A cost effective alternative for more moderate hot metal work applications.
Designed to protect workers from high heat situations such as those found in foundries, casting, mining, and smelting operations
Our aluminized clothing is designed to protect workers from heat exposure ensuring they keep cool on the job.
Our Cool Coats are made of Norfab Aluminized Carbon Kevlar™ (ACK) in the front of the coat, and plain Carbon Kevlar™ fabric in the rear of the coat.
The Cool Coat protects from direct radiant heat in the front, but also offers decreased weight and breathability in the rear from the non-aluminized plain carbon Kevlar™ fabric.
Cool Coat Options include a Hi-Viz Orange Valen-T back with vents for additional air flow and cooling affect.
Let our experience and knowledge help you select gloves & mitts to protect your hands in demanding applications
Hand protection can be one of the most difficult and critical decisions faced in hot metal work. We stock many standards but Intertex can also fabricate custom solutions to suit your specific application.
There are many considerations in deciding on hand protection. Temperature ratings are not enough on their own. Factors to consider include contact vs radiant vs convective heat, abrasion resistance, insulating value, dexterity, ease of donning and doffing, fit with PPE, user experience, weight of hot objects, type of metal hazard and exposure dwell time amongst.
Intertex gloves and mitts are made from a variety of materials:
Intertex gloves and mitts come in standard sizes of 14″, 18″ and 23″. Custom size and configurations are available.
Intertex supplies heat reflective face shields, aluminized hoods, and custom protective head covers
Our protective gold face shields reflect radiant heat, as well as harmful UV & IR light away from a worker’s eyes, to not only protect but also to keep their face cool.
Intertex also offers clear polycarbonate face shields as well as green tinted and blue Didymium gold face shields.
All of our face shields are made from scratch resistant and strong polycarbonate material.
